Egg in a Basket

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but in college it is difficult to have breakfast when you wake up 5 minutes before every class. But on those days when your classes start at reasonable hour, like around 2, a little breakfast can go a long way. The only problem is that you only have bread and eggs. And you also managed to break your toaster last night after you and your friends decide to create a game called “throw the toaster from the roof.”

Well if you have 10 minutes to make it to class, make yourself an egg in a basket and show up to class a couple minutes late. The egg in a basket is a favorite recipe of college students and is the fastest method for a breakfast full of protein and carbs. This is one of the easiest recipes around and requires only two ingredients. If making yourself an egg in a basket is too difficult, you might want to drop out of college. Except Comm majors. This recipe might still be harder than Comm classes.

Ingredients:

1 piece of bread
1 egg
oil for greasing the pan

Cooking:

1. Remove a decent sized hole in the piece of bread. Place the piece of bread into a pan and turn the flame on to medium.

2. Crack an egg in the middle of the hole and let cook for 3 minutes. Flip the bread with the egg over carefully with a spatula. Let cook for another 2 minutes.

3. Throw it in a napkin, hop on your bike, and pedal your heart out to get to class on time! Just kidding. Enjoy your breakfast, walk like a normal person, and show up whenever you please to your lecture.
